Edward Rumano is a Shona, he was born on 20th August 1972 in Murewha some 70km from Harare.

Edward grew up in a family of sculptors and he assisted his elder brother Nelson Rumano who taught him how to produce creations at a very young age. At the age of six due to the intensified armed struggle in former Rhodesia his school was forced to close resulting in him staying at home. It is at this time that he dedicated all his time to working on his own unique style of creations. He has attended a number of exhibitions in Zimbabwe but his ambition is to hold international exhibitions.
